MBKM Foundation Honours Young Women Achievers 2025
By Media Swaraj Correspondent
Noida, April 28 . In a heartfelt tribute to the memory of eminent educationist Dr. Rama Saharia, the MBKM Foundation honoured four young women for their exceptional achievements in diverse fields, including higher education, journalism, social work, and fine arts. The awards, presented at the Foundation’s Second Annual Memorial Ceremony in Noida, aim to celebrate talent emerging from modest socio-economic backgrounds.
Founded by retired bureaucrats, professionals, and their families, the MBKM Foundation is a not-for-profit trust committed to giving back to society. Unlike conventional remembrance efforts, the Foundation has chosen to recognize and support determined young women who have broken social barriers to excel in their respective domains.
Recognizing the Unsung Heroes
“We do not celebrate the celebrated,” emphasized Rajeev Mathur, Secretary-General of the Foundation. “We honour girls whose grit and determination are rarely acknowledged beyond their families.” The awards not only provide recognition but also serve as a message to society to uplift and inspire talent from underprivileged sections.
The awards were instituted in memory of Dr. Rama Saharia, a distinguished psychologist and former college principal with a deep commitment to the education and empowerment of young women from under-resourced families.
“Dr. Rama was more than an educationist—she was a writer, a singer, and a promoter of skills like tailoring and embroidery,” noted C.K. Srivastava, advocate and founding member of the Foundation. Reflecting her multifaceted personality, the awards span higher education, media and journalism, social service, and fine and performing arts.
