School of Law and Legal Affairs celebrated National Law Day

Noida – School of Law and Legal Affairs, Noida International University celebrated 71st Constitution Day or National Law Day. The Event was graced by former Justice Shri Mukul Mudgul, Former Chief Justice Punjab & Haryana High Court as the esteemed chief guest. Dr. Vikram Singh, Ex- DGP-UP, Chancellor- Noida International University also blessed the event with his presence. The event was headed by Prof. Jayanand, Vice- Chancellor, Noida International University and Supervised and directed by Dr. Parantap Kumar Das, Head of the Department, School of Law and Legal Affairs, Noida International University. There were more than 80 participants from all across the country.
The event commenced with a welcome note by Prof. Jayanand, Vive-Chancellor, NIU, followed by Oath Taking ceremony. Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Vikram Singh gave the key note speech where he explained how the constitution was drafted and motivated all students and academicians to respect, preach and follow the Constitution of India. Thereafter, Chief Guest Justice Mukul Mudgul delivered an enlightening speech and pointed out the key points of the Constitution of India. He talked about the various sources that were referred in the drafting of the Constitution and explained the meaning of Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy, Fundamental Duties, The Judiciary, Executive and Legislation. He also explained that right to freedom of Speech and expression is the most important fundamental right along with the right to live with dignity.
The Event ended with a vote of thanks delivered by the Moderator of the event, Prof. Baidyanath Mukherjee, School of Law and Legal Affairs, Noida International University. The event was a highly successful one.
